WIN provides education, guidance and transitional aid to men, women, and children at risk. Our classes are taught across O’ahu at spousal abuse centers, substance abuse centers, homeless shelters, teen shelters, schools, and prisons. Our transitional centers are temporary havens for women moving from incarceration back into society.
Life Skills Classes: Instilling the self-esteem to take control
WIN gives men, women, teens and children the necessary tools to take command of their lives.
Classes focus on:
- Addiction recovery
- Living free of addictions
- Substance addiction awareness and prevention for children
- Parenting
- Money management
- Goal setting
- Personal development
Employment readiness classes: Independence is the key to life success
WIN grooms program participants for today’s job market so that financial and emotional stability can be attained. Classes focus on:
- Basic computer skills
- Basic literacy training
- Preparation of resumes and employment application
- Proper dress and demeanor for job interviews
- Job searching skills
- Mock interviews
- Assistance with school financial aid and grant applications
Anger Management and Domestic Violence classes: Breaking the cycles
WIN helps men and women alike extricate themselves from abusive relationships and ready them for healthy relationships. Classes focus on:
- Understanding abuse and domestic violence
- How eliminating domestic violence helps the family
- Lifestyle changes
- Anger management techniques
- Conflict resolution
Transitional support: Starting fresh and making it work

WIN assists families transitioning out of homelessness, and women emerging from incarceration. We provide:
- Transitional housing on O’ahu and Kaua’i for women paroled from incarceration
- Employment and housing placement
- Access to employment and housing opportunities
- Resources and referrals to all available services
Case Management: One-on-one support
Case Managers meet with participants at least once a week to:
- Identify personal strengths, assets, goals and career interests
- Discuss progress, setbacks and methods to remove obstacles in the way of success
- Coordinate services through a network of community organizations
- Help with job placement
