Parterships that make us WIN
Our corporate and non-profit partners give us the strength we need to move forward. It’s not only their very much appreciated financial support that counts for so much, it’s also their moral support. Knowing that these organizations care about Women In Need gives WIN and our clients the hope and encouragement they need to be successful.Bambeco is generously discounting hip furniture made from 100% recycled material to No Hono Wai, our first therapeutic living facility for women and their children, opening next year on the island of Kaua’i.
Girl Scouts of Hawai’i generously donates close to 200 Mother’s Day gift baskets to WIN clients every Spring. Hawaii Public Housing Authority assists us with a partial subsidization of our two transitional homes on O'ahu.
Kaua’i Drug Court assists WIN with a partial subsidization of our two transitional homes on Kaua’i.
Prudential Locations Foundation has been our great friend for nine years, providing monetary support for office space and equipment. Their amazing generosity extends to funding the distribution of backpacks, complete with school supplies, to 300 homeless O'ahu children at the beginning of each school year, as well as to 50 children of incarcerated parents on the island of Kaua’i.
Ross Dress for Less runs an internal campaign to raise funds which enable WIN to purchase school supplies for 100 additional homeless children on O'ahu.
Safeway helps us sponsor holiday programs for homeless teens, including a pumpkin carving contest at Halloween, as well as Thanksgiving dinners.
Target donates slightly damaged merchandise which we distribute to the homeless families living on O'ahu, whether in shelters or on the beach.
WalMart is generous with monetary as well as merchandise donations. The store recently donated a computer to our Kaua’i office.
Whole Foods donates groceries, dropped-off once a week, to meet the needs of two homeless shelters. In May 2009, the company sponsored a baby drive, WIN clients with babies becoming the recipients of diapers, wipes, towels, food, and clothing.
